Our Services

Our doctors provide expert dental implant and periodontal treatment.
Friendly, Caring, Expert Periodontal Treatment
Our doctors are highly skilled and experienced periodontists. Dr. Gary Perlman has been serving Jacksonville and its surrounding community since 1989. Dr. Raul Molina has earned board certification from the American Board of Periodontology for his mastery of periodontal treatments, including treating gum disease and placing dental implants. They both incorporate the latest technological advances in periodontics to maintain the health of your teeth and gums.
Below is a list of the services they provide in our office:
Gum Disease Treatment
Our goal is to maintain the health of your teeth and gums. We provide comprehensive and effective gum disease treatment using advanced technology and minimally invasive procedures to treat all phases of gum disease.
LANAP® Laser Gum Disease Treatment
The LANAP laser protocol is the modern alternative to the traditional scalpel. Because there is no cutting or need for sutures, LANAP is a gentle and minimally invasive way to treat gum disease.
Periodontal Maintenance Cleanings
Proper cleanings and maintenance care are vital in order to keep periodontal disease at bay. Our highly experienced hygienists use the latest technology to provide gentle and thorough cleanings. They will also provide you with the education and tools you need for proper oral health care at home.
Gum Recession Treatment
Gums can recede from their proper position around your teeth, exposing your teeth to further damage and decay and jeopardizing their long-term health. We use minimally invasive gum grafting procedures to thicken the gum tissue, restore your full gumline and preserve the health of your teeth.
Pinhole Surgical Technique™ for Receding Gums
The Pinhole Surgery Technique is an innovative alternative to traditional grafting treatment. With this minimally invasive option, Dr. Perlman can repair receding gums without the cutting, grafting and stitching involved in traditional surgery.
Dental Implants for Missing Teeth
Dental implants are the modern gold standard of tooth replacement. Our doctors use state-of-the-art technology to place the implants precisely in your jaw to strongly support a single crown, a bridge or a denture.
Treatment for Dental Implant Problems
While the success rate of dental implants is very high, we occasionally see patients who have developed infection or complications in the gums surrounding the implants. Our doctors use advanced laser technology and minimally invasive, effective treatments to save implants wherever possible.
Functional Crown Lengthening
Sometimes a tooth in need of restorative work has too much bone or gum tissue surrounding it. Our doctors gently remove the covering gums or bone tissue to further expose the tooth crown when needed for corrective treatment.
Cosmetic Gum Treatment
A gummy smile or an uneven gum line around your teeth mars the smile and makes cleaning difficult. Our doctors can deftly remove excess gum tissue or reshape your gumline so your oral health is easier to maintain and your smile is symmetrical and aesthetic.
Tooth Extractions
If a tooth cannot be saved or if it needs to be removed to make way for a dental implant, our doctors will perform a minimally invasive extraction without damaging the surrounding gum and bone.
Gum Surgery for Severe Gum Disease
In some severe but rare cases, conventional periodontal surgery is needed. Our doctors are very skilled in performing this time-tested procedure that removes the disease-causing bacteria and tartar from the roots of the teeth.
Oral Pathology Services
As part of every new patient exam, Dr. Perlman or Dr. Molina will perform a comprehensive oral tissue examination to check for any signs of diseased tissues, including signs of oral cancer. They repeat these inspections periodically to ensure that your oral health is maintained and that any potential disease is caught early and treated.
Bite Adjustment
When upper and lower teeth do not meet together correctly, our doctors can modify the high contact points of a tooth to balance and evenly distribute the biting and chewing force. A bite adjustment (also called an “occlusal equilibration”) will remedy excessive stress on the teeth and jaw joints caused by teeth grinding such as excessive stress on the teeth and jaw joints.
Bite Protection Guards
Our doctors can provide custom-made and adjusted bite protection guards to help prevent the wear and tear caused by teeth grinding and to protect teeth from shifting.
